EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
UFC is a comprehensive approach to handling all cases involving children and families while resolving family disputes in a fair, timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. UFC judges hear all delinquency and dependency cases and identified interconnected cases involving domestic relations issues, including domestic violence. UFC also provides prompt linkage to related services. - Performs complex data entry for docketing functions; creates entry for each document; monitors image for quality and clarity- Screens filings to facilitate redaction of qualifying information and transmission for eRecording- Forwards filings to the Court or the appropriate functional area as warranted- Adds and updates party/attorney information in the system; updates case statusBalances cashier receipts against transactions entered into applicable systems (e.g. CMS Official Records and MyFlorida); works with cashier and management team to investigate discrepancies; reconciles total receipts in all applicable systems at the department level; prepares daily bank deposits; prepares reconciliation summary reports and record-keeping packages for department and Clerk's Accounting; facilitates insufficient funds processing- Processes appeals; monitors and adheres to time periods prescribed by Rules of Appellate procedure and court orders; prepares organizes and transmits record on appeal according to Rules and/or formal - Directions filed by party(ies); scans evidence for inclusion in record on appeal; prepares invoices and other related documents- Processes new cases including multiple case types and transfers from other courts/venues; assigns case types; indexes parties and associating attorneys; handles specialized processes/procedures- Issues process writs and other documents; cashiers related fees- Transfers cases to other courts/venues; collects applicable fees; prepares and transmits record for transfer; issues receipts for transfer to be completed/returned by receiving court/venue- Processes Judicial reassignments/recusals; updates system; issues notice of reassignment; notifies newly assigned Judge and parties/counsel of the change- Performs clerical work in the collections and accounting of unpaid financial obligations and delinquent accounts- Processes Child Support and Alimony payments; performs reconciliation and audit- Assists customers in person and by phone- Attends Court as necessary- Maintains established organizational/departmental productivity standards
