This is a beginner social casework position providing a wide range of services in child welfare. Employees in this class provide casework services to abused and/or neglected children and youth and their families which include dependent children, adolescents, adults, and families to help them attain a more satisfactory social, economic, emotional, or physical adjustment. Qualifications: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. Benefit packages are determined by the county and may vary. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
An important aspect of this work is utilizing casework skills in obtaining essential information and in aiding families to utilize all available resources. Caseworker provides support to children and/or youth and adolescents experiencing difficulties and provides an effort to facilitate growth, behavioral, and emotional improvements to those individuals and their families. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures.
Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (M-F) with a 30 minute lunch
**On-call and other emergencies outside regular hours.**
