CR includes Global Government Relations, Global Philanthropy, Sustainability, Public Engagement, and Research & Policy.

Corporate Responsibility Overview:

The Corporate Responsibility (CR) department oversees the development and implementation of the firm's CR agenda and initiatives by crafting goals, policies and initiatives that align with the firm's business strategies and operational objectives and support communities where we do business. CR includes Global Government Relations, Global Philanthropy, Sustainable Finance, Public Engagement and the JPMorgan Chase Institute.

Department:

The Sustainability team works to advance sustainability in the financing activities of JPMorgan Chase's lines of business (LOBs) and throughout our operations. This team works closely with the other departments in CR as well as with senior executives and partners in the LOBs, Risk Management, Corporate Strategy, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations, Global Real Estate and others on a day-to-day basis. Through this work, the team manages several key priorities, including: the development and implementation of firm-wide sustainability and climate-related commitments; engagement and advocacy on ESG-related policy and regulation; internal and external reporting and communications on environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters; client, investor and stakeholder engagement on ESG; sustainability grant-making; reputation risk management; and operational sustainability management.

The Senior Associate will report to the Global Head of ESG Policy and Regulation and will support the development and implementation of the Firm's global strategy and engagement on ESG-related policy and regulation that impacts the firm from a corporate perspective, with a particular focus on climate and sustainable finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Global Head of ESG Policy and Regulation and team on a wide variety of projects with components of policy development, strategy, project management, data gathering and analysis, research, and management reporting.
  • Identify and monitor ESG-related regulatory policy developments.
  • Create and develop content for internal communications and reporting.
  • Lead management reporting initiatives on regulatory policy developments. Coordinate and support various firmwide policy forums, track policy/regulatory engagement and policy updates, and consolidate input from a variety of stakeholders into regulatory policy development reports.
  • Prepare briefings for senior management engagement with external stakeholders, including policymakers, trade associations, and investors.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative research and analysis in support of ongoing advocacy priorities.

Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in financial services, consulting/strategy, and/or communications, with a strong interest in ESG/climate/sustainable finance related policy.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to distill and present complex information plainly and succinctly.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Highest level of integrity and professionalism to handle sensitive information and work with senior management.
  • Ability to take initiative, strong project and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and time-sensitive deliverables, and learn new topics quickly.
  • Advanced technical skills in PowerPoint. Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
