Responsible for ensuring the 2022 KPMG Women's PGA Championship achieves its corporate hospitality and ticket sales revenue, quality of service, and profitability objectives established by the PGA of America and Congressional Country Club. Serves as the liaison between the PGA Championship Sales Committee and business community and is responsible for the direct sales of Corporate Hospitality packages and other Championship assets. In addition, this position will be responsible for the fulfillment of ticket sales, marketing, and promotional strategy for the Championship, while working closely with Championship PR agency of record. RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to): Maintain and formulate a comprehensive up to date client database within SalesForce with a substantial number of quality corporate hospitality leads that have an adequate level of interest and the financial wherewithal to consider purchasing a corporate hospitality package. Organize and execute the Championship pro-am. Identify companies in the local and regional market who are possible new clients. Maintain in SalesForce all corporate clients and significant prospects, including documentation of correspondence provided to or received from such prospects. Manage all steps in the sales process by coordinating the production of sales collateral, sending mass mailings to potential and current customers, sending/receiving letters of intent, contracts, collecting payments, sending gifts and invitations, etc. Serve as the primary on-site contact for all corporate clients and ticket purchasers. Respond to corporate inquiries and requests for assistance. Answer day-to-day operational and administrative questions. Make sales appointments with corporate prospects, including setting up sales calls and mailing correspondence and sales materials. Respond to public inquiries and requests for information and offer course tours. Maintain regular contact with all corporate clients, based upon their individual needs. Coordinate and implement all on-site corporate hospitality special events (i.e. Corporate Hospitality Launch, Corporate Cup, Ticket Distribution, and Pro-Am). Work closely with various PGA of America staff at PGA Florida, Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Ticket Center, Integrated Marketing, Consumer Profiling, Promotions. Media, etc.) in order to ensure compliance with PGA guidelines. Work in conjunction with the PGA of America’s Corporate Hospitality Sales/Service Staff, hire and train 3-5 individuals to assist in servicing our corporate clients during Championship week. This includes establishing the hiring criteria, managing these individuals during event week and following up with corporate clients to ensure that service provided meets our standards . Prepare for Championship week, work with outside vendors and PGA staff to determine materials/equipment needed; necessary signage; order office supplies; organize and schedule venue inspections with clients; delivery of Journals, brochures and information to each venue around the course; coordinate hospitality staff and volunteers, set-up business centers. Provide Championship Director with regular updates on pending and completed sales. Work with the Championship Director to complete weekly and monthly tasks on a timely basis. Provide support to the Championship sales committee, by attending meetings, assisting in the preparation of agendas, notifying committee members of meeting dates/times, reserving space and refreshments for meetings, following up with committee members on clients they have contacted, etc. Develop and implement marketing and promotions campaign, along with the Championship Director and/or PGA contracted advertising agency, to enhance Championship sales and overall awareness through various media vehicles (i.e. direct mail, email blasts, radio ads, television spots, billboards, newspaper circulars, internet ads, social media, websites and special events). Works with Creative Services to manage the fulfillment of all advertising for the Championship. Liaise with local organizations such as the local PGA Section, local Convention & Visitors Bureau, and various other organizations to create and activate sales initiatives and promotional campaigns. Development and activation of local corporate partnerships to enhance the ticketing database and sales. Communicate to Corporate Hospitality/Ticket Holders on e-newsletters and other communications to keep guests completely informed on all aspects of the event including procedures, event schedules, spectator information, and on-site amenities. Develop and implement a University Sport Administration program in order to recruit volunteers to assist with promotions around the Championship. Implement on a local level social media efforts for the Championship. Manage local and regional media relations efforts. Coordinate day-to-day reporting of the Elevate Ticketing System for tracking up-to-date ticket orders. Maintain and provide Championship Director with regular updates on promotions plans, activations, ticket sales, etc. Work with the Championship Director to achieve the Championship’s revenue goals and to ensure that all promotional and sales spending limits are not exceeded. Assist with preparing, monitoring and administering an annual sales budget, while following all financial policies established by The PGA of America (i.e., purchase requisition, purchase orders, check requests, bid proposals, etc.). Represent the Championship in a professional and knowledgeable manner when networking, making hospitality presentations, etc. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in sports marketing, business or hospitality management or related major. Three years sales and marketing experience. Must be comfortable with customer interaction with CEO’s, Marketing Directors and Event Planners for local, national and international companies This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
