Position Summary: Under the direction of the Assistant General Counsel, the Corporate Counsel is responsible for advising internal clients on a broad range of legal issues affecting the company, assisting in leading the legal function within the organization, overseeing the work of outside counsel, and supporting the Assistant General Counsel in corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. You will manage day-to-day legal function, including analyzing commercial contracts, vendor agreements and other critical contracts for the company. Using experience in litigation, corporate transactions and/or health law, you will also provide legal expertise on a wide range of business and regulatory issues pertaining to the organization's operations, including federal and state fraud and abuse laws and regulations, privacy laws, and other areas of organizational risk, both domestically and internationally. You will also support in leading and coordinating responses to various constituents, including leading litigation and outside counsel. Core Responsibilities Requirements Certificate Requirements: Bar licensure to practice law in FL required. Certification in health care compliance desirable. Travel Required: Medium- May require travel to subsidiary laboratory locations, 20% of the time.
