We’re looking for an EMAIL copywriting beast - a creative and strategic thinker who dreams about calls to action, subject lines, and writing amazing relationship-building copy that slays KPIs. - someone who dreams about calls to action, subject lines, and writing relationship-building, value-added copy that converts. You have a strong understanding of email marketing copywriting (as opposed to content writing, etc.) and you are well-versed in the optimization tactics that drive sales. You have a proven track record of writing compelling copy that captures a brand, connects with their audience AND generates sales. You’re always looking for new ways to resonate with an audience and you have a strong understanding of the intricacies of email copywriting.Your writing reflects a flawless translation of storyboard strategy but you aren’t afraid to push back when you feel like something’s missing. You also have the flexibility to alter your style of writing and voice from client to client and from project to project. You love brainstorming new copy strategies to engage and influence people’s behavior through words and stories. You pride yourself in your ability to generate results from your writing and can reference metrics to demonstrate those results. You have a deep understanding of email marketing, how to write emails that convert, and how to build a relationship with a customer through copy.We’re looking for someone with a growth mindset who’s constantly looking to improve and learn new things. You’ll work across our entire client portfolio and you’ll get the opportunity to work on a variety of consumer e-commerce lifestyle brands. Success in this part of your role means that you take full ownership of ensuring that all copy completed for the clients you’re responsible for meets our standards in terms of quality, strategy, brand voice, and tone. You serve as a representative of the brand internally by protecting their brand voice and values and communicating them effectively to their customers through copy. You understand and contribute to the creation of internal tools and standards such as templates, QA checklists, copy guides, etc. This part of the role is about standards, execution, and independence.KPIs for this part of your role:
Success in this part of your role means you’re able to successfully train new copywriters up to Longplay standards in both copywriting quality, strategy, and productivity. This involves continually providing constructive feedback and monitoring growth. In doing so, you’ll step out of the main copywriter role and into an editing/support role for certain accounts. You’ll also be charged with applying what you learn from your optimization experiments to enhance the effectiveness of our work. This part of the role is about mentorship, strategy, and execution.KPIs for this part of your role:
