Summary Freeman is seeking a Coordinator - Logistics to be responsible for the coordination of daily branch logistics operations, show support and technicians. Additional duties include:

  • Comply with and adhere to all company procedures and guidelines.
  • Coordinates Audio Visual Technicians, ensuring they are adhering to company/departmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure that new technicians are receiving proper training in departmental procedures and equipment.
  • Assist with the loading/unloading of trucks.
  • Run daily shipping and return activity reports to ensure that all orders are accounted for and are complete.
  • Dispatch deliveries, set-ups and pick-ups, assigning adequate and competent personnel to each
  • Ensure that all delivery/pick up documents are signed and payments have been collected and forwarded to Rental Coordinator for invoicing.
  • Coordinate the logistics of equipment orders for our in-house hotel properties.
  • Assist customers with the logistics of orders they are placing
  • Field phone calls and vet emails from on-site show personnel and process show site equipment add on requests. Determine the best of course of action to cover needs by by creating orders and facilitating the logistics to get equipment to site including transferring equipment form other branches or enlisting outside vendors to cover our needs
  • Provide after-hours/on-call support to our shows and branches on a rotating basis
  • Pull, ship and return orders as necessary.
  • Cross rent equipment from vendors when necessary, create or edit purchase orders corresponding to cross rental to ensure accuracy of payment of invoices.
  • Facilitate logistics of shipping equipment to show site by creating and tendering shipments utilizing our transportation management software
  • Responsible for helping maintain warehouse appearance and workflow.
  • Assist with warehouse projects and special assignments when assigned.
  • Assist Rental Manager in maintenance of company vehicles.
  • Remain up to date on new equipment and technology in order to be proficient in the field.
  • Maintain an accurate time sheet of hours and job numbers worked, assist technicians with maintenance of their time sheets and jobs worked.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Minimum one+ years related experience and/or training in the audio visual industry.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service/relation skills, excellent supervisory skills.
  • Proven knowledge in at least three areas of audio visual equipment including audio, video, lighting, computers and basic A/V.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively and professionally with customers and employees.
  • Ability to calculate basic multiplication, percentages, addition and subtraction.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
