GENERAL SUMMARY The Controller oversees Accounting and Financial Reporting functions within a Division of the Company. In some Divisions, the Administration functions also fall under the Controller’s responsibility. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The position manages the following areas of financial management for the Division. · Accounts Payable · Accounts Receivable · General Ledger · Payroll · Budgeting · Financial Reporting · Financial Policies & Procedures · (if Administration responsibility is included) · Benefits administration · Payroll · Administrative Policies & Procedures The Controller’s Office exists: · As an operation to provide consistent, accurate and timely performance information to Management and Ownership of the Company. · To ensure compliance with GAAP in the presentation of financial performance. · To develop and implement internal procedures to provide proper audit trail in support of collateral and external audits as periodically required of the Division.
