Controller Responsibilities:- Performs reconciliations of data necessary to produce monthly cash-basis financial statements and final accrual financial statements no later than the 15th of each month.
- Performs and documents monthly bank reconciliation for all firm bank accounts.
- Maintains Firm registrations in good standing with State and National regulatory licensing authorities.
- Assist CAO as primary liaison to Practice Engine software which is our Workflow, Time Management and Billing system.
- Collaborate with CAO and others to update and adapt policies and procedures following the implementation of Practice Engine software.
- Serves as liaison to Key Bank and act as primary contact for corporate credit card program.
- Approval of all reimbursements to employees.
- Ensure annual Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standard compliance.
- Oversees all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including the preparation and issuance of Forms 1099.
- Serves as the primary backup for Billing & Accounts Receivable Administrator.
- Main contact for any items related to merchant services and outside vendors.
- Coordinates directly with the HR Department reviewing semi-monthly payroll.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of previous experience in financial services or professional services organization is required.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to produce quality work timely.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to compile and present data through preparation of concise detailed reports.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- The ability to adapt to and lead technology and firm standards for professionals.
