The Contracts Administration & Clearances candidate is responsible for managing company contracts that stem from content development and talent deals, supplier retention and new business negotiation. He or she is responsible for supporting the General Counsel in organization and implementation of best practices to ensure compliance with company goals and contractual obligations.
Position Description
- Draft releases for talent and content creation; follow up on implementation and compliance.
- Ensure existing contracts are within best practices; recommend and implement updates to existing contract templates. .
- Establish internal policies and processes regarding contract management and use and implement for efficiency and productivity metrics.
- Maintain database of contracts and oversight of all legal documentation; generate reports on the current status of existing agreements
- Interact with all production, talent and finance teams to process and follow up on contract fulfillment.
- Troubleshoot music clearance issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum four years experience working with and managing contracts in media field
- Knowledge and understanding of the legal requirements involved in specific contracts
- Attention to detail and ability to notice errors
- Working knowledge of accounting principles
- Work effectively in coordination with managers to analyze sourcing and contracts strategies.
- Excellent writing skills. Familiarity and ease with legal writing requirements.
- Experience with providing customer support, ensuring internal and external client relations are running smoothly.
- Good decision making skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; legal certification a plus
- Knowledge and expertise on law governing contract drafting and management is necessary
- Excellent management and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work as an individual contributor and team player.
- Excellent writing skills which are clear and concise.
