Kemper is growing and recruiting to hire a professional Contracts Administrator to work in our Procurement group. This role will focus on both standard and complex contract vehicles and techniques to accomplish business goals and objectives. You will make a direct impact at Kemper as we implement new tools and systems. You will interact with leaders and employees across the company. Coordinate execution, resolve performance issues, and initiate follow up action necessary to perform contract/subcontract administration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Review solicitations and prepare contract or subcontract modification actions.
  • Conduct initial reviews of various contracts to assess transaction complexity, ensure that all necessary information from business stakeholders has been obtained and initiate certain draft revisions.
  • Work closely with Sourcing team and other departments to help design and implement processes.
  • Process any change orders, modifications, or dispute actions.
  • Prepare and administer routine correspondence, negotiation memorandum, summaries, source selection, cost/price analysis, and other supporting documentation in compliance with Federal laws, regulations, guidelines, prime contracts, and best business practices.
  • Prepares, organizes, and maintains electronic data base for Agreements, Contract or Subcontract files to ensure they are properly recorded, filed, and available for internal and external audits.
  • Reviews Annual Representations, Certifications, and Other Certifications for compliance.
  • Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the assigned contract or subcontract, including defining the requirements, researching opportunities, and closeout professing.
  • Reviews and coordinates company Agreements for compliance with special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and company business unit procedures.
  • Perform initial review of certain contract documents, such as non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, amendments and other agreements as directed by Procurement
  • Perform final review and verification of contract documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience working with commercial contracts
  • Experience with a contracts management tool/software
  • Must be able to analyze technical data in subcontractors' proposals
  • Requires strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
