Under the general direction of the Quality Improvement (QI) Director, assists in developing, implementing, evaluating and tracking technical support components of the quality improvement activities for IPRO End Stage Renal Disease Network Program. These quality improvement activities center on improving care for dialysis and renal transplant patients receiving treatment in the 13 states across the IPRO ESRD Network Program. The QI Coordinator provides technical support and education to dialysis facilities, supports the creation and implementation of quality improvement projects, and creates trending reports to support the PDSA cycle and rapid cycle improvement activities. The candidate should have strong communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to support data submission compliance tracking and trending of information received. Duties include but are not limited to the following:


  • Provides technical assistance and education to dialysis facilities using reporting tools to track continuous quality improvement
  • Responds to requests for information from patients and providers in the Network’s service area. Assists in the collection and management of data, ensuring submission rates are met which includes emailing and calling facilities as necessary to collect information
  • Assist with data validation and data entry to support quality improvement tracking performance measures
  • Assist the Quality Improvement team with analysis and reporting. Create trending reports of data to allow clinical staff to trend improvements in rates.
  • Assists in the organization and implementation of educational programs through IPRO Learn.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to develop clear and concise written communications and effectively deliver information that can be understood by clinical staff or patients contacting the Network for support.
  • Strong typing/data entry skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to identify key assignment tasks, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and particularly in use of Excel for data collection, tracking, analysis, and presentation.
  • An understanding of continuous quality improvement concepts and tools is desirable.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • High School Diploma (or equivalent), required. Some college or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, preferred. CCHT or LPN with dialysis background preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically excel is required
  • Willingness to work as part of a team dedicated to improving patient care and outcomes required
  • Experience in the healthcare field, preferred.
  • Experience in the dialysis setting is strongly preferred.
