Consumer Compliance Officer Details

We are currently seeking an experienced, collaborative, detail-oriented Consumer Banking Compliance Officer to join our Consumer Banking Compliance Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the division’s compliance activities, including, but not limited to, compliance reviews of marketing collateral and other materials, performing various quality assurance testing, tracking compliance-related issues, documenting business unit compliance risk assessments, developing and maintaining internal and bank-wide policies, procedures, and controls, working closely with the bank’s Corporate Compliance Division and assisting or providing project support for compliance-related initiatives within the business unit. In particular, the compliance officer assists in providing compliance guidance to the Consumer Credit Products, Consumer Credit Center, and Indirect Lending areas to ensure compliance with regulations and serving as the business unit contact/liaison for Internal Audits, Federal Deposit insurance Corporation (FDIC) Examinations and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Examinations.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (Hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3 years' experience with compliance laws and regulations, legal field or auditing required.
  • MBA, JD, CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of consumer banking deposit and loan products preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills essential.
  • Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity of MS Access preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously within strict timeframes.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
