Construction Project Coordinator
Employment Type : Full-Time
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the daily management, communication and coordination with clients and the project management staff in management of a portfolio of residential construction projects in Malibu.
Responsibilities:
- Create an experience for the client of confidence, peace of mind, and delight throughout their project.
- Coordinate design appointments, job walks, and Zoom meetings with clients, designers, and construction team members, maintaining detailed notes pertaining to job and client specifications.
- Gather and maintain project documents and records and manage projects using construction management software.
- Point person for all communications between client and design/construction team members.
- Build out the schedule and adjust on a daily/weekly basis, working to ensure on-time delivery to the client.
- Sub contractor vetting, proposal requests, billing walks, billing meetings,
- Work with team members to streamline organizational systems for efficiency, productivity, and improved client experience.
- Quality Control walks to ensure schedule items are on task and the work site is kept tidy.
- Create orders for supplies and materials.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years experience working in construction, engineering, and/or architecture
- Knowledge of the construction industry and building process, including exposure to building codes, architectural plans, permits, and new build construction process
- Project management experience, managing schedule, budget, and communications
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with a high number of projects at one time
- Must have an active driver's license, and an operable, insured vehicle
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- General knowledge in construction is a MUST!
- Knowledge in CA construction law is preferred.
- Strong technical and communication skills (written/verbal) is critical.
- Proficient in Google Docs, Procore, Buildertrend.
- Organized, strong ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Team Leader. Strong ability to manage, direct, motivates others.
- A "Do whatever it takes" attitude Self-Motivated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
