Construction Facility Specialist
Brown Contracting is looking for a hard working team player with a background in construction with great communication skills. Have you worked in an equipment yard? Do you like organizing and logistics? This may be the place for you! We want to meet you!
Teamwork is essential to achieve maximum organization, cleanliness and efficiency with:
- Stage material for upcoming projects and load on service rigs
- Pick up/arrange for delivery of materials to yard/projects
- Use forklift for loading/unloading service rigs and delivery trucks
- Organize and maintain wood yard/pipe racks, rebar, dowel baskets, and steel stakes
- Inventory, inspection, cleaning and repair of all traffic control items
- Inspection and maintenance of power tools, generators, forklifts and extension cords
- Inventory of shop supplies and lumber yard items
- Dump runs of construction debris
- Yard maintenance including road maintenance, landscaping, weekly utility inspections and repairs
- Indoor office/shop maintenance including janitorial and light repairs
- Report to Yard Manager throughout the day with updates on completed tasks and material needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- Valid Driver’s License required with reliable transportation
- Drug free, must be able to pass drug screening
- Hard working, sense of urgency and self-motivation required
- Mechanical or construction experience preferred, but not required
Working Conditions:
- Work outside in all weather conditions
Schedule and Benefits:
- Full time Monday – Friday (with occasional overtime)
- Day shift 7:00am – 3:30pm with flexibility to transfer to swing shift if needed
