The Compensation Analyst I will be a member of the Compensation team and will assist in the implementation and maintenance of the University Career Architecture and Compensation programs. This position will serve as a resource for campus on all compensation matters for staff.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Will serve as an entry level analyst that collaborates with campus partners to assist with compensation related needs within assigned client groups. This includes working with managers to review job descriptions and recommend appropriate job mappings within the career architecture, position evaluations, new hire offer recommendations, equity analyses, and market reviews.
  • Provide support in efforts to conduct annual benchmarking of UA jobs and provides recommendations to compensation leadership on salary increase budgets, market conditions, strategic opportunities, and salary structure movement. May also provide preliminary benchmarking analysis and give recommendations to Compensation leadership as needed throughout the year to ensure competitive market positioning.
    Supports higher level analysts and management to conduct internal audits and provide interpretations of laws, policies, and procedures affecting compensation to ensure compliance; identifies areas of potential exposure and/or liability and recommends appropriate action. This includes in depth analyses regarding FLSA compliance.
  • Utilizes Excel to prepare financial analysis of changes to existing compensation programs and prepares executive summaries and proposals. Provides analytics support and data analysis on compensation and human resources metrics as requested.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources Management, or related field or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
