Eagle Point Management, a national owner and property manager of affordable, multi-family properties is seeking a Community Manager for a 200+ unit, senior (55+), tax credit property in St. Louis, MO.
As a member of the community's Resident Experience team, you will be expected to oversee Resident Experience and Maintenance Staff in order to ensure maximum resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate on site staff
- Maintain integrity of wait lists, show market ready apartments to applicants, perform prospective resident qualification procedures, and select qualifying residents.
- Work to assure swift turnover of vacant apartments, application of Fair Housing practices, and compliance with regulatory agreements
- Prepare and/or supervise account payable and account receivable entry and reconciliations, vendor setup, maintenance, and capital work order decisions.
- Advise Regional Manager of maintenance strategies including preventive maintenance, capital improvement, service contracts, security, emergency plans and any other such plans and strategies as may be necessary for the successful and efficient operations of the property.
- Enforce all lease provisions and property rules, attend community meetings, and testify at legal proceedings, if needed.
- Work with Regional Manager to develop and monitor annual budgets and five (5) year plans for assigned property.
- Prepare schedules and reports to help strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
Qualifications:
- Three years in LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit)
- Knowledge of budgets and financial statements and ability to work within budgeted guidelines.
- Supervisory experience of two or more staff members.
- Possessing intra-office and extra-office cultural and diversity awareness and sensitivity
- Strong written/oral communication skills.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the job and function effectively in sales/marketing and customer service environment.
- Ability to thrive, manage stress and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong sense of urgency and solid time management skills.
Requirements:
- Valid driver license and means of transportation.
- High school diploma
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Five years direct Property Management experience required.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and/or customer service experience
- Knowledge of eviction law and Fair Housing mandates
- Proven track record in marketing and leasing
Salary dependent on experience
