The Job

The Community Impact team works to align our culture and business practices towards our values and purpose. The Operations Manager will lead the work of turning our annual Community Impact budget and strategy into manageable projects, programs, and processes; ensure focused execution against our key commitments; and hold us accountable to milestones, metrics, and deliverables. The Operations Manager will oversee the work of our growing Community Impact team to deliver the work, and manage contributions from other evo teams and outside resources where needed. Throughout the course of the year, the CI Ops Manager will partner with the Senior Manager, Community Impact to align key internal stakeholders through regular strategy and progress updates.


What you will do

1. Impact Strategy – Organization of Impact team and priorities

  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Community Impact to operationalize key priorities across evo Impact areas (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Sustainability; Philanthropy & Volunteerism).
  • Provide supervision and coaching to Community Impact Coordinators to implement priorities and long-term strategy.
  • Develop and support an internal communications cadence to reinforce evo commitments, values and progress.

2. Project Management / Program Operations – Operationalizing the strategy
Lead / collaborate with key partners to:

  • Establish annual and quarterly deliverables
  • Establish milestones, deadlines, and metrics
  • Establish and publish project plans
  • Organize internal and external resources to deliver against goals

3. Support development of systems and tools to manage all grantmaking.

  • Track and share investments against key performance indicators.
  • Manage Sustainability reporting consolidation and support implementation of Roadmap.
  • Establish/support operating processes and tracking tools for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion task force and sustainability working teams.

4. Stakeholder Management – Aligning the work

  • Establish a cadence of regular updates for key internal stakeholders, reporting annual goals, quarterly priorities, progress, barriers, and needs.
  • Proactively collaborates with and influences internal stakeholders across functions to ensure a mutual understanding and alignment of objectives, priorities, and resources.
  • Key stakeholders include: Executive Team, Senior Team, Store & DC Managers, 12TC

What you will need

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated commitment to and in community as well as a nuanced understanding of the intersecting systemic oppressions that influence evo’s Community Impact priorities.
  • Experience developing and operationalizing strategies for growth and change.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience in overseeing multiple programs and complex relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively with and influence individuals of diverse backgrounds to achieve a common goal.
  • Ability to identify and succinctly summarize roadblocks, constraints, and trade-offs, propose potential solutions, and drive toward resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong ability to work independently, prioritizing workflow to meet critical deadlines while paying exceptionally close attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to grow and drive change at evo and in the outdoor industry. Have a growth mindset; an ability to take initiative and continuously look for ways to improve.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate practical and advanced understanding of emerging sustainability and ESG trends and incorporate these insights into evo programs.
  • 3+ years of experience managing large, long-term projects or programs aligned with corporate social responsibility, philanthropies, purpose, or sustainability outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, relevant certificates, or equivalent work experience.
