Job Summary This position is responsible for helping the university reach enrollment goals by creating, assessing, and enhancing targeted, multi-channel communication plans within the Director to engage prospective students. Vehicles include email, direct mail, texting and calls to encourage students to take the next step in the enrollment process. This position will collaborate with stakeholders both inside and outside the division, including recruiters within our colleges and schools.Will be writing conversion-focused marketing materials that utilize segmentation and personalization. This person will also be responsible for analyzing the success of communication plans and adjusting as needed. While focusing on the student experience, this position will also work with recruiters to identify and take advantage of opportunities for improved communications. Additional work includes helping maximize efficiency within the constituent relationship management system (CRM).Serves the campus community as it pertains the student enrollment. The position directly contributes to the achievement of enrollment goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Works with the Director of Marketing & Communications and the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment to create intentional, effective marketing plans that point prospective students to “conversions,” or the next step in the enrollment process.
2. Maintain and assess student recruitment communication strategies to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
3. Creates reports for Associate Director of Marketing and Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management to gauge the success of the marketing communications programs.
4. Confer and collaborate with stakeholders to understand both the needs of prospective students and the needs of the university and translate that into relevant marketing communications content.
5. Studies research and trends in student recruitment to provide up-to-date, relevant marketing communications recommendations.
6. Uses data to update and improve marketing communications designs.
7. Performs other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, journalism, or a related field. One year of experience in marketing.
Preferred Qualifications Four (4) years of experience in marketing strongly preferred. Marketing background with experience in writing and branding. Experience in higher education and working with a constituent relationship management system. Previous experience collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders.
