Grand Coast Capital Group is a private real estate investment firm that specializes in direct lending and investing in residential, multi-family, and mixed-use assets. Grand Coast is an opportunistic real estate investor that has successfully launched multiple funds, as well as invested directly in commercial real estate transactions in the US and Ireland.
Grand Coast is looking for an experienced commercial underwriter/asset manager (2+ years minimum) for their commercial lending platform. The candidate is responsible for analyzing, underwriting, and managing short-term bridge loans secured by residential, multi-family and mixed use properties, ranging in size from $200,000 to $5,000,000. This position reports directly to the Chief Credit Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and review nontraditional bank financing transactions ranging in size from $200,000 to $5,000,000
- Prepare and present loan approval packages to loan committee
- Fully understand the procedural aspect of commercial lending, including origination, underwriting, closing, & servicing
- Review and provide written analysis of financial statements, tax returns and cash flow statements from prospective clients
- Review and provide analysis of third party reports, such as appraisals, environmental and construction schedules
- Work and collaborate with the loan origination team to develop loan structure to meet the client’s objectives
- Communicate effectively with borrowing clients to service loan portfolio and monitor performance
- Identify potential enhancements to improve credit and reduce risk for the loan(s) and the portfolio

Education and Experience required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in underwriting & managing commercial real estate loans in various asset classes, with particular emphasis in residential & multi-family
- Bachelor's degree or higher in real estate, finance, accounting, or business
- High proficiency in Excel & MS Office
