Job Summary: Responsible for daily servicing of assigned clients including New and Renewal Business. Provides marketing, processing and maintenance of assigned accounts utilizing exceptional customer relations. Regularly interacts with new and existing clients as needed. Responsible for devising creative solutions to meet client needs as to coverage and costs. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on accounts including but not limited to: negotiation of product pricing, interviewing clients; collecting and analyzing information regarding the client and assisting in product and pricing determinations; affecting, interpreting, and implementing various company policies with regard to the specific factual circumstances of each client.
Essential Functions/Activities:
- Experience managing a diverse book of Small Business Commercial P&C clients.
- Use experience, discretion and independent judgment to conceptualize and implement solutions to meet client needs as to coverage and costs
- Collect and analyze client information
- Regularly interact with clients in a professional and timely manner
- Assist the Producers on new and existing clients as needed
- Independently manage the New Business process: Gathering new business information, marketing, preparing applications, submitting to markets and/or rating online, preparing proposals and binding.
- Independently manage the Renewal process: Preparation of renewal submissions for marketing including applications, necessary exhibits, narratives, loss runs and answer underwriting questions, selecting renewal markets and/or rating online, preparing proposal and binding.
- Review processed policies for accuracy, as needed, prior to releasing to the client
- Providing daily service to clients - endorsement requests, general coverage questions.
- Invoicing all new/renewal business and endorsements. Prepare and submit finance agreements.
- Prepare binders and master certificate for renewals and new business
- Review/Issue certificates of insurance with special or unusual wording
- Ability to negotiate products and pricing on behalf of the company and clients
- Provide training and mentoring to assistant account managers
- Manage and retain existing book of business
Preferred (but not required) Experience:
- Personal Lines experience preferred
