The College/Division HR Coordinator provides advanced administrative support to Student Retention (UAC), Financial Aid, Student Financial Management, TRIO, Institutional Effectiveness, Student Accounts, Graduate Programs. This position supports the HR Officer with coordination of HR related activities to include payroll, records management, training, classification projects, performance management, payroll, time sheet reporting, budget review and staff recruitment. Some of the duties associated with this position are:

  • Initiates staff hires; status change and payroll action requests; review for any prior period adjustments for staff and students. Compiles eTIME requests to send to HRIS weekly. Provides customer service by answering employee requests and questions. Attends HR meetings to stay abreast of university policy and procedures. Assists managers with resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Manages personnel documents. Ensures that documents are properly routed to Employee Relations, HCM or Benefits as necessary. Assists with performance evaluation process. Ensures all evaluations are completed each year. Prepares correspondence and assists with development of internal newsletters and email.
  • Coordinates graduate assistant process for Student Success and Provost's areas. Communicates relevant policy and procedures to students and departmental graduate assistant managers. Conducts annual training for the division. Inputs payments into PPGRA. Recommends processes for improving appointment and evaluation of policies.
  • Assists the HR Officer in recruitment of staff positions. Reviews applications, assist with interview questions, help set interviews for committees so that process moves smoothly. Assists with hiring adjunct instructors. Attends PTR meetings to stay abreast of policies and procedures related to faculty hiring. Assist with departmental on-boarding process. Inputs Position Review Forms (PRF) into Sharepoint.
  • Assists with updating policy and procedures for units. Assists the Division HR Officer with special projects.
