About The Role This position will oversee co-packer quality management programs, and implement supplier quality management programs in collaboration with Supplier Quality Manager for CJ Foods USA Inc. (CJF) ensuring adherence to the company, customer and regulatory body’s food safety and quality standards in addition to driving improved performance to deliver business results. The specialist will lead co-packer/supplier audits and ensure execution on program requirements including: auditing and gap closure, complaint management, policy adherence and ongoing monitoring of KPI’s including improvement in supplier performance. He/she will work closely with Procurement on identifying the right partners to deliver food safety and quality standards and assess/manage risk in partner selection. This role will work in close collaboration with Procurement, R&D and manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities Include Quality and Food Safety Approval of NewSuppliers and Co-Packers · Review and approve co-packers and new suppliers to ensure the co-packers and suppliers’ programs and finished products adhere to CJF requirements and specifications. Quality and Food Safety Management of Suppliers and Co-Packers · Manage periodic audits and visits to ensure co-packers and suppliers are adhering to CJF requirements and approval status is maintained · Organize and follow up on action plans for non-conformances for co-packers and suppliers · Evaluate risks of co-packers and suppliers · Manage and update an approved co-packer list and documents · Manage co-packer and suppliers’ complaints, investigation and responses · Monitor KPI’s for co-packers and suppliers and establish action plans to drive improvement. · Drive continuous improvements with CJF programs requirements and co-packer/ supplier performance · Ensure full implementation of CJF QA policies & specifications related to co-packers/suppliers · Liaise with facility QA team on critical discussions, program changes and rollouts related to supplier quality. · Support serious quality & food safety crisis and incidents management related to raw materials and subcontracted products. · Manage FSVP programs for finished products Required Qualification - Bachelor / Master Degree in Food Science or equivalent Other Experiences/Qualifications - GFSI certification schemes and requirements Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Schedule: Supplemental pay types: Education: Experience: License/Certification: Work Location: One location
