Job Description: CNC Press Brake Operator
Job Summary: A CNC Press Brake Operator controls machines used to bend and shape metal sheets in a fabrication shop.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Takes careful measurements, and feeds raw material into programmed brake presses to produce custom sheets and metal parts.
- Read calipers and micrometers
· Set up and operate a Press Brake.
- Calculate bend allowance.
- Operate a shear.
- De-bur parts.
- Understand type and thickness of materials.
· Checks and makes required control settings
· Perform routine maintenance on machine
· Examines parts or finished articles for defects to maintain quality standards.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Skills:
- Produce materials according to specifications and on schedule.
- Must be cognizant of how different materials react to pressure, heat and shaping procedures.
- Inspect the materials and produce quality and conformance prior to release to the end-users and correct any inconsistencies.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks.
· Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
· Programming using Amada AP100 software.
· Knowledge of problem-solving strategies.
Experience:
· Manufacturing: 2 years
· CNC Press Brake Operator : 2 years
· Bystronics Bysoft Software knowledge preferred but not required
· Bystronics experience preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
