CNC Mill Machinist - 2nd Shift

We are looking for CNC Mill Machinists to join our Mentor, OH facility on 2nd Shift schedules. You will operate conventional machines, special purpose machines, numerical control machines, and machining centers to fabricate surgical implant components. Job Scope:
What You’ll Do:
- Set-up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss Style Lathes (20s,32s)
- Read and interpret blue prints, inspection check-sheets, drawings, manuals, samples and instructions
- Use inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Make machine adjustments, tool changes, etc. as required
- Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders
- Maintain and ensure accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; complete production paperwork and make required entries into company database
- Measure and determine the dimensions required on sample pieces to ensure the conformance to finish specifications
- May be required to perform inspections and analyses of processes to determine the appropriate actions needed to maintain quality levels on parts and processes

What You’ll Need:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, and depth micrometers
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work operations sheets
- Understanding of CNC milling machines and controls
- Understanding of mathematical concepts such as percentage and basic statistical calculations (CPK, fundamentals of plane, and solid geometry and trigonometry, etc.)
- Ability to apply the concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations using calculators, computers, and reference materials
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Strong understanding of computers
- Prior related machinist work experience required
