Shift: Weekend shift, Full-time (12 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

  • Work three 12-hour shifts Friday - Sunday and get paid for 40 hours!

Position Summary: Responsible for setting up and machining weldments of all sizes in a timely manner, while maintaining exceptional quality.


Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and machine weldments per print efficiently and accurately;
  • Complete any necessary inspection worksheets;
  • Maintain minimal (preferably none) re-work or scrap;
  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes;
  • Keep work area clean and organized; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills:

  • 5 - 10 years’ experience as a machinist;
  • Prior experience setting up and operating boring mills preferred;
  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints;
  • Understand basic GD&T call-outs;
  • Ability to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools;
  • Ability to setup and run “one-off” parts to print efficiently and accurately;
  • Ability to keep work area clean and organized;
  • Must work well under pressure; and
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills.


Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards.


Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S):

  • Understand the Company’s EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job;
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures;
  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and
  • Attend required EH&S training.
