INTERMEDIATE CARE UNIT - 6071 (Billings Clinic Main Campus)

Shift: Day, Evening, Weekends
Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 0.80 = 64 hours (Non-Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: 15.00 - 17.64
THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A SIGN ON BONUS. The Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) is a 28 monitored bed unit. The primary patient populations in this unit will have high acuity needs and the unit will serve as a bridge between the Intensive Care Unit and the Medical/Surgical Units. The unit is currently under construction with anticipated opening of March 2022. The IMC will care for a wide range of patient diagnoses including sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, complex wounds, neurological patients requiring frequent monitoring, COVID patients or patients in respiratory distress requiring high levels of oxygen therapy, and patients with tracheostomies and chronic ventilator use. The IMC is an inpatient status unit and cares for the more complex long-term patients. The unit will have some continuous infusions of medications to support blood pressure as well as manage pain and anxiety. Some patients may require ICU level of monitoring.
Under general supervision of a licensed Nurse assists in the delivery of patient/resident care. Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational and spiritual needs of the patient/resident and family. Essential Job Functions
