NeoGenomics is looking for a Clinical Trial Support Specialist within the Research & Development department in our Aliso Viejo, CA location or remotely who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Trials Support Specialist will provide scientific and administrative support to the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team at NeoGenomics. The specialist will support the full lifecycle of patient screening and medical outreach for a portfolio of sponsored clinical trials. This includes the adoption of clinical trial protocols, screening of patient medical reports, communication with physician offices, and tracking of outreach activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build automation processes for multiplexed immunofluorescent image · Ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations in regards Learn, interpret multiple sponsored oncology clinical trial protocols simultaneously, particularly inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Access, interpret patient medical reports, including pathology reports, for initial clinical trial eligibility determination
  • Prepare patient profiles for secondary analyses by MSL team to determine clinical trial appropriateness
  • Communicate with NeoGenomics client offices via phone, email, fax to determine appropriate clinical trial contact(s), e.g., clinical research coordinator, nurse,etc.
  • Schedule outreach activities for MSL and NeoGenomics client clinical trial contact(s)
  • Document and track outreach activity

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma Required with four years of relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Understanding of pathology and oncology
  • Experience working with/in clinical research organizations and/or sponsored clinical trials with extensive protocols
  • Experience working with/in laboratories and/or hospital settings
  • Confident in communicating with healthcare offices via telephone, email, and fax
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of EHR systems, including analysis and synthesis of pathology reports
  • Ability to use CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.com
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
