HarperRand/CalRegional is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Medical Assistant Skill Instructor for an established Clinical Medical Assistant program in Richmond, CA. We currently have a program scheduled from Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM. Help train future essential workers!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline and assisting the Lead Medical Assistant Instructor.
- Assist in student learning outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
- Assist lead instructor with all required skill labs, grading class assignments and exams.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field.
- Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
- Front office experience.
- Back office procedures – EKG, Urine, Vitals, BP’s, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, bandaging and more.
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
- Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Current CPR certification.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
