The Center has revenues of approximately $9 million, with contracts from the Department of Behavioral Health, three Managed Medicaid Organizations, and grants from various foundations. The Center is also the only independent mental health agency in the District to be accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. Job Description
Become a teacher and mentor by shaping the practice of new staff members entering the helping profession. Meet regularly with para-professionals as they provide community-based services for individuals with serious mental illness. Provide structured supervision sessions, and guide these community support staff members into providing clinically sound services. By meeting with them at least weekly and by reviewing their treatment planning and daily documentation, you can ensure that these new practitioners meet the high standards of quality that you and the agency set for them. By ensuring that form drives function, you become not just a supervisor but a true change agent as you see your clinical skills inform the practice of individuals who are entering the work force.
