City Phoenix State Arizona Telecommute No Department Laboratory Medicine & Pathology Position description The Medical Technologist contributes to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on blood and body fluids. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a health related field required. Additional qualifications *** Strong Hematology, Coagulation and Flow Cytometry experience preferred. *** Strong organizational skills and problem solving capabilities required. Experience as a Medical Technologist and good computer skills preferred. License or certification Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty, preferred upon hire or required within 12 months of hire. Exemption status Non-exempt Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $28.23 per hour.
