About the Manville School at the Baker Center for Children and Families: About the opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to help lead an innovative and well-respected special education therapeutic school with a long history of success! We are seeking an exceptional, communicative, and experienced clinical leader with their Doctorate in Psychology with current MA license to lead diverse work teams, engage community partners, and collaborate with the Baker Center Senior Leadership Team. The Clinical Director will work collaboratively with the Baker Center’s VP of Clinical Programs, Implementation, and Training on developing and maintaining effective training policies and procedures, including for an APA accredited predoctoral psychology internship program. The Clinical Director will be a part of the psychology faculty at the Baker Center, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate. Clinical Director works collaboratively to ensure that topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and family engagement and support are infused throughout Manville School. The Clinical Director will perform other significant responsibilities, including, but not limited to overseeing implementation of schoolwide social-emotional learning curriculum, chairing multiple meetings, and collaborating with educational and milieu department heads to implement a consistent vision of Manville School’s programming. The Manville School, a program of the Baker Center for Children and Families, is a therapeutic day school providing special education, clinical, and behavioral support for students in kindergarten through tenth grade with complex social-emotional, behavioral, and learning needs. Students are referred from over 50 school districts in the greater Boston area. All students have an active IEP and qualify for special education services through their school system. Manville integrates comprehensive, evidence-based clinical services, innovative educational programming, and tiered behavioral supports to ensure students with challenging needs experience social-emotional development and academic success.
The Clinical Director is a member of Manville School senior leadership team and responsible for the overall effectiveness of the clinical programming at the Manville School. The Clinical Director must be a strong relationship builder and communicator with the ability to lead diverse work teams, engage community partners, and partner with the Baker Center Senior Leadership Team. The Clinical Director must support the use of evidence-based clinical practices in a special education setting. The Clinical Director is responsible for hiring, training and supervision of the clinical staff. A faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School may be available for qualified candidates at the rank of instructor.
Full-time position, with a salary range of $125,000 – $150,000 annually, depending on experience, knowledge, skills, and accomplishments. A full benefits package, including generous paid time off, a competitive retirement/contribution program, health insurance, and more will be offered.
