DESCRIPTION
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Clinical Director (CD), is a managing member of the treatment team, functioning as the primary collateral for all clients on the continuum between admission and discharge. The CD monitors the progress of the treatment plan and delegates the plan for clinical engagement by the team.
SCOPE:
Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for each component of the client’s treatment planning, including all programmatic implementation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health discipline, with a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience. An active, unrestricted, clinical license is preferred (LCAC, LMHC, LCSW).
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task, with exceptional time management skills. Ability to competently encourage and inspire direct reports in the delivery of stellar clinical services through professionalism. Demonstration of a client-centered team approach, with advanced computer skills.
- Scheduling flexibility REQUIRED to accommodate varied client admissions.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insured transportation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains adherence to HIPAA compliance in ALL communication regarding clients. Competency in usage of DSM-V.
- Completes diagnostic clinical assessment for client admission.
- Fundamental knowledge of pre-authorizations during admission with ability to provide clinical report to insurance as needed.
- When needed, provides initial screening for potential client admission.
- Leads tours of facility for pre-admissions, answers all inquiries regarding treatment, programming and financial obligations.
- Provides supervision to all facility staff, interviews and recommends prospective staff, completes corrective action summaries, recommends disciplinary action.
- Ensure compliance with EMR usage, documentation with all clinical/nonclinical staff.
- Audits EMR system for all personnel, reviewing charts, notes and medication logs.
- Provides monthly staff trainings to introduce theory, test competency and skill level.
- In conjunction with Primary Therapist, completes BHT scheduling, as well as programmatic service delivery.
- Direct oversight of PHP and IOP programming.
- Provides individual and group treatment to clients.
- Documents sessions with all clients, processes discharge as needed.
- Cultural sensitivity and ethical treatment of all clients.
- Professional boundaries, appearance, demeanor, and effective communication.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
