THE POSITION The Department of Human Services, North Central Secure Treatment Unit (NCSTU) is seeking a dedicated Clerk Typist 2 that will provide quality clerical support services in an organization that takes pride in helping youth. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of clerical duties, which include preparing reports, letters, forms, evaluations, and all other materials deemed necessary by administrative and technical staff in order to ensure clear, professional and effective communication for the residential program. Proofreads typed materials to ensure the transfer of information is typographically and grammatically correct and complete. This position is responsible for performing complex clerical work, which includes: typing, account management, filing, receptionist duties, and the application of independent judgment in performing these tasks. Staff hired may be required to perform duties as assigned for all programs at the North Central Secure Treatment Unit. This position reports to the Clerical Supervisor.
Acts as the agency receptionist by answering incoming calls, placing outgoing calls, taking messages, and greeting visitors, vendors and guests in order to facilitate communication and maintain good public relations.
Logging, tracking and filing various documents is essential to effective records retention. Managing accounts involving collecting, counting, depositing, distributing and balancing funds are critical to program operations.

Hours of work: 8:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, 30-minute lunch. *May change based on operational needs*

Must be willing to accept employment at North Central Secure Treatment Unit and commute to this location in Danville, Montour County.
