RYZE Claim Solutions (RYZE) is an independent insurance adjusting company that provides accurate, cost effective and comprehensive property and liability insurance claims adjusting, including third party administration and insurance appraisal services to insurance carriers doing business throughout the United States. RYZE currently services 49 states and handles Catastrophe's across the nation. RYZE currently has two office locations: Noblesville, IN and Tampa, FL.
As a result of our continually expanding list of catastrophe clients, and our continued growth with our longstanding clients, we are in need of experienced catastrophe Claims Examiner Contractors. The Claims Examiner’s will investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate and resolve assigned claims in accordance with client guidelines. The Examiner will provide timely, accurate, fair, and professional service to all clients and insured parties while maintaining a high level of production.
Primary Purpose:
The primary role of the CAT Claims Examiner is to conduct a quality assurance review of the field adjusters work product to ensure strict adherence to the carrier’s best practices prior to the claim package being submitted to the carrier for settlement. The CAT Claims Examiner will be the policyholders and the field adjuster’s primary point of contact for all loss related matters throughout the entire claim cycle.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts a thorough investigation, as outlined in the claim handling guidelines and best practices for assigned client.
  • Interviews, telephones, or corresponds with insureds, claimants, vendors, carriers, witnesses, public adjusters, attorneys, etc. to gather important information to support the claims; including proofs of loss.
  • Sets proper reserves within claims management system manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.
  • Ensures claim files are properly documented.
  • Refers cases as appropriate to supervisor and management.
  • Takes recorded statements, as needed.
  • Reviews and evaluates complex property claims for coverage and further claim handling procedures to conclude within required statutory time frame.
  • Interpret policy language and evaluate coverage issues of multiple different policies and endorsements.
  • Addresses diaries, emails and voicemails within twenty four hours.
  • Prepares technical claim documents and correspondence.
  • Assists field adjuster with making first contact.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for assigned field adjusters during CAT deployment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Three plus years of related property claim review experience.
  • Be willing to work seven days a week, for twelve hours per day, during ongoing CAT operations.
  • Home State License with Reciprocal abilities.
  • Strong Letter Writing Skills related to policy interpretation is a must.
  • Able to handle complex property claims.
  • Decision making skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Analytical and proactive claim handling skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient oral and written communication is a must.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Proficient computer & typing skills - working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Xactimate estimating experience preferred.
  • Symbility estimation experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet or exceed Service Expectations.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
