As a bodily injury claims adjuster on our team, you’ll independently manage a claim - including the injury portion - along with supporting customer needs while ensuring a swift resolution. Ideal candidates will put their strong negotiation and customer service skills to use interacting with customers, insurance carriers and others. In-depth training along with ongoing coaching will be provided, allowing you to feel confident in performing your job and developing relationships with our customers.

Starting your role from home, you’ll be provided virtual training and onboarding. You’ll eventually transition into a hybrid in-office schedule where work from home days are possible, when we are ready to open our offices.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Making coverage decisions that determine the extent of Progressive’s liability
  • Gathering details through interviews and investigations regarding those injured in an accident
  • Settling unrepresented bodily injury claims, among other things
  • Calculates benefit payments and approves payment of claims within a defined monetary limit

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of one year of claims handling experience or experience in the insurance industry
  • Instead of the above, a combined minimum of five years higher education and work experience, at least one of which must be in claims handling or the insurance industry
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm

Compensation

  • $53,800 – $71,700/year depending on experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
