The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith based organization, has a job opening for seasonal Kettle Drivers for the Denton Corps, located in Denton, TX.

Job Summary:
Drives a van to pick up bell ringers at Corps and transports them to designated work sites and transports them back to the Corps; drives the truck and/or van to and from homes, agencies and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc.; loads and unloads gifts from the van to the Corps; lifts, carries, loads and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of The Salvation Army mission, philosophy, culture, protocol, and organizational structure.
Knowledge of the assigned geographic area.
Ability to organize route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption.
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and donors.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED and a minimum of two years driving experience.

Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Texas Driver’s License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
Work is performed outside where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt. Dressing appropriately is important for comfort.
