Chiropractic Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Details

Job Summary

We are a chiropractic office located in the Westfield area and are seeking a friendly, reliable person to work our front desk reception area as well as assist with administrative duties. We are seeking a person who is able to multi task while engaging patients with a friendly personality.
Experience in healthcare and medical software particularly chiropractic coding preferred. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Phone skills are necessary. Basic computer skills are required. Ability to multitask and be organized is a necessary skill.

We are looking for a person to work: MON 1pm-8pm, TUES 1PM-8PM, WED 9AM-4PM, & THURS 1PM-8PM. (28-30 hrs total) Fridays may become available in the future. (If you cannot work these hours and/or are not serious about this position please do NOT apply!!)

Looking for someone that is self-motivated, detail oriented and needs little to no assistance in accomplishing daily tasks. Chiropractic knowledge a plus. ChiroTouch software experience a plus. Job duties include answering the phone, checking and resolving emails, transcribing doctors notes into software, verifying insurance, scheduling patients, typing up patient reports for attorneys, sending out medical records, and handling incoming correspondence.

Responsibilities and Duties

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • greeting patients
  • scheduling appointments
  • answering phone calls
  • collecting co-payments and insurance information
  • organizing patient charts
  • data entry
  • putting together attorney reports
  • sending out medical records
  • handling incoming mail

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Rep or similar role preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • High school degree; additional education is a plus
