Job SummaryProvide assistance in the provision of developmental program activities for young children focusing on the preschool age group.Minimum Education and Experience

Two years of relevant experience working with young children and 12 college credit hours of Early Childhood Education/Child Development or CDA (Child Development Associate Credential).

Preferred Education and ExperienceThree plus years of experience providing preschool and education; knowledge of preschool age development; Child Development Associate credentials; knowledge of NAEYC accreditation criteria and/or HighScope teaching approach.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist with educational activities in an appropriately designed preschool setting; assist with planning and implementing child centered learning experiences in a team taught, developmentally appropriate preschool with hearing impaired children; participate in mainstreaming activities with special populations as designated; provide informational feedback to parents as requested; other duties as assigned.Physical Activities Working Conditions Additional InformationProvide care and developmentally appropriate experiences for preschool age children; maintain a safe and appropriate learning environment; work collaboratively with team members in planning and implementing activities; document observations of individual child development; provide daily verbal and written communication to parents.
