We are seeking a passionate self-starter to join our team and help build the future of media, sponsorships and digital activation for Verizon. The Chief of Staff position will provide support to the SVP and Verizon Chief Media Officer. As Chief of Staff in this organization, you will work closely with our leadership to advance Verizon’s marketplace position and team culture, including the formulation of strategies, development of critical initiatives, and communication of progress and results. You will have proven experience in a strategic business management role, with a special focus on executive-level support and communications.
- Operating as a key point of contact for the Chief Media Officer with representatives across CMO & BU teams as well as external partners.
- Working closely with Activation executive leadership to develop strategies, manage key deliverables, and monitor results to effectively advance Verizon’s objectives.
- Establishing and monitoring master project plans, acquisition and coordination of resources (people or systems, internal or external).
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders, network leadership, and executive teams.
- Delivering concise storyline and strategy updates for key senior updates and operational reviews.
- Acting as an advocate, leading culture initiatives within the organization.
- Developing timelines and action plans to mitigate potential risks, including escalations to key stakeholders.
- Supporting the progress of Activation initiatives by facilitating frequent cross-functional collaboration sessions to address strategic topics, guiding the discussion to ensure alignment, and coordinating action plans with clear ownership and deadlines.
- Developing executive agendas, communications, and meeting materials.
- Overseeing and governing departmental functions such as recruiting, new hire onboarding, and T&E.
- Developing various Activation-related meeting agendas and creating strategic content inclusive of town halls, employee engagement, and learning and development activities.
- Publishing post-meeting notes, documenting key decisions and action items.
- Creating visually compelling content for use in executive-level meetings that communicates complicated information in an engaging way.
- Managing support of the SVP Chief Media Officer with preparation for speaking engagements and conference appearances.
- Identifying and taking on ad hoc strategic projects that require collaboration across multiple teams.

You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in a chief of staff, business management, or similar executive-level support role.
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Experience in program/project management.
- Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree - MBA preferred.
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills, and can analyze data to make appropriate business recommendations and help shape business strategy.
- Negotiating skills, and demonstrated collaborative and consensus-building strengths.
- Ability to effectively influence and engage people, while working cross functionally and across multiple levels of leadership to drive results.
- Experience as a team player and leader who can effectively handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain accountability for major business initiatives.
- Experience designing and facilitating strategic planning sessions.
- Experience in using MS Office Suite and creating strategic presentation materials in a visually compelling way.
- Verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to manage internal and external relationships up to senior-level management.
- Experience working accurately and independently under pressure in an environment with frequently changing business needs.
- Capability to create programs and processes that drive consistency to maximize the speed of implementation.
