Sodexo
is seeking a Chef Manager for it’s operations at McLean Retirement a continuing care retirement community in Simsbury, CT .This Chef Manager will assist with menu management, ordering and inventory processes, scheduling support, training and HACCP standards. Hands on production, culinary support and oversight of quality.


The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the daily food production including production planning and controls;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
  • have high expectations for quality of food and presentation;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and train employees;
  • have knowledge of special diets and allergens; and
  • Knowledge of Food Management Systems/Software is preferred.

  • a passion for culinary arts with a desire for creativity, a strong production culinary background, ideally in a healthcare setting but will welcome any culinarian who has a passion for working with Seniors;
  • experience supervising a culinary team and exceptional human resource and supervisory/management skillset;

  • are enthusiasm for working with Seniors, are confident and warm;
  • a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.

Qualifications & Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
