Cervical Market Development Manager

Job Summary and Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development of field strategic market/product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments; identifies volume and strategic customers; and develops key partnerships.
- Actively participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements for product portfolios
- Manages product portfolio initiatives related to general product management and marketing responsibilities
- Develops and manages direct relationships with Key Opinion Leader (KOL)’s, consultants and surgeons, to maximize portfolio adoption, including in-person and remote communications and interactions
- Provides strategic point of sale support and clinical support to sales force, surgeons, and staff
- Provides support to sales force, surgeons and customers to maximize portfolio adoption, including in-person and remote communications and interactions
- Executes post case Field Evaluations of local sales representative to drive professional development
- Creates, delivers, drives, and supports strategically defined field based sales training initiatives on strategic accounts
- Drives appropriate information on new product developments, new competitive products and selling strategies, and current applicable medical literature to the sales force
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Capabilities- Prior experience selling motion preservation products or niche spinal products and therapies
- Ability to successfully support business growth using best practice methods to support marketing initiatives
- Demonstrates leadership capability and ability to manage project teams
- Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity among a global employee and customer network
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Education and Experience- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent experience
- Preferred experience using SalesForce.com
- Preferred 5+ years sales and/or marketing experience in the Spine industry
