Duties

  • Right hand person to the CEO in representing all clients across all services.
  • Demonstrate competencies is all areas of the services provided by the McGee CPA Group, P.C.
  • Maintain oversight of all work performed by accounting staff to ensure successful completion of all assignments.
  • Handle account analysis by managing financial transactions.
  • Ability to analyze data related to tax returns, financial reports, and accounting records.
  • Ensure that clients’ businesses are operating efficiently.
  • Assist the CEO and make recommendations on systemic improvements, internal controls, documentation, and forms development.
  • Prepare a variety of spreadsheets for tracking various financial transactions.
  • Serve as a QuickBooks expert to the team.
  • Act as the Technology Champion for the team.
  • Work in conjunction with the CEO to monitor client trends.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and areas of improvement.
  • Attend staff, client and public meetings as required.

Employment Standard & Conditions

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar area of study.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience working in public accounting.
  • CPA Certification is desired.
  • A criminal background check and drug screen will be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must demonstrate maturity, high professional standards and ethics, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to deal with financial information in a confidential manner.
  • Experience in a public accounting.
  • Experience with corporations, small businesses, non-profits, and individual taxpayers.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Work in partnership with the team and maintain positive relationships to accomplish agreed upon goals.
  • Ability to organize, handle details, and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, have confidence, and exhibit mastery of time-management.

Technology Skills

  • Mastery of QuickBooks software and accounting information systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, & Publisher) and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of The CCH® ProSystem fx® Suite.

Hiring Salary Range

Negotiable. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
