Last but not least, The Shandy Clinic comes with benefits like these: Requirements Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Description: The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide exceptional Occupational Therapy services to pediatric clients and families in a privately owned outpatient setting. They will assist families with Home Programming and community transitions. Work closely with a supervising Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) to determine best practice treatment plans and progress reports. Document daily treatment sessions and progress reports according to insurance standards. Bill for appropriate services completed. Clearly communicate with other service providers such as Speech Therapists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, teachers, administrators of the Shandy Clinic, billing and authorization department, and supervisors. Look for opportunities to see OTR's patients to provide them more time to do updates and oversee COTA's caseload. Work together with a team of therapists in clinic setting to maximize individual services provided. Adhere to HIPAA and State Privacy Laws. 1) Provide individualized care to each client on caseload. Execute established Plan of Care and update goal progress. Work closely with other team members, counsel with other therapists, discuss best treatment practices for each client. 2) Create unique and creative treatment sessions that are engaging and enjoyable for client. Implement home programming and coordinate with caregivers after each session. 3) Document daily treatment sessions and bill within guidelines. Check authorization status. Work with supervising OTR and update progress notes as requested. Conduct meetings with family to communicate progress and new goals. 4) Meet with supervising OTR monthly. Identify areas of learning need and arrange for hands on co-treatment with OTR as need determines. Schedule re-evaluations and goal updates every 6 months between OTR and family. 5) Facilitate communication with other team members (COTA, OTR, SLP, PT, Administration, and Leadership) as need determines. Facilitate a working relationship with staff on the site and incorporate as a whole. 6) Observe senior therapists and apply knowledge to treatment sessions. 7) Attend continuing education courses in pediatrics or area that will build overall knowledge of practice. Attend scheduled OT meetings and present case studies, activity analysis, article review, or requested information for learning objective. 8) Completed Level II Internship in Pediatrics or 1 year experience is preferred Clinic Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: Medical Specialty: Schedule: Application Question(s): Education: License/Certification: Work Location: One location
