CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT / LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (COVID-19 TRIAGE HOTLINE) - WILSON COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERWilson Community Health Center is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse! This position offers a 40-hour workweek, no weekends, full benefits package, and a biannual bonus!The Certified Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse will work alongside the medical provider in the COVID-19 Triage Hotline. The CMA/LPN will contact patients with test results, produce correspondence for patients, and respond to patients’ concerns and inquiries. The CMA/LPN will also complete and send all necessary testing results reporting forms to the patient’s local health department.

In addition, this position will serve as patients’ first contact in the medical area, preparing patients for examination, assisting the medical provider with examinations, procedures, treatments and patient education, as necessary. This position reports to the Clinical Site Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing as an LPN or graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  

• Frequent standing, walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead.
• May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift.
• Frequent computer work required.
• Must be able to travel freely in the local area.
