Job Location: Canon City, COThe starting salary for this position is $4,697.00 per month.Description of JobThe position provides High School Equivalency (HSE) Instruction within an adult educational correctional system/facility by delivering instruction, training and assessments. Instruction is in accordance with the Colorado Department of Education approved Certificate of Accomplishment Curriculum for appropriate Adult Basic Education levels. This position will also provide oversight of the Cognitive Education Program. Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Safety & Security - position maintains safety and security by training inmates; and occasionally or in an emergent situation perform inmate counts, searches, escorts, movement control, and offender access to classrooms. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SUBSTITUTIONS: A current and valid Colorado Literacy Instruction or Adult Basic Education Authorization (LIA/ABE) may substitute for the Colorado Professional or Initial Teacher License.
