Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Analytics and P&A is a dynamic team that directly supports the CCB CFO. The team provides financial analyses and perspective to senior management, which support decision-making on high-profile, topical issues. In partnership with strategy and finance teams across the CCB businesses (i.e., Consumer Banking, Business Banking, U.S. Wealth Management, Home Lending, Credit Card, and Auto), the team assists the firmwide P&A team on workstreams leading to public disclosure and senior management reporting and communication associated with CCB's strategy, financial performance and industry trends, such as Budget, OC and Board meetings, and Investor Day. The team also manages the Capital Stress Testing analytics, monthly/quarterly forecast process and business reviews.

We are seeking a Vice President of Central P&A. The candidate must be able to manage and deliver monthly, quarterly, annual & ad hoc requests and quickly define views that prompt decisions by Senior Management. The role demands superior organizational skills, analytical skills, presentation skills, technical abilities and flexibility. The candidate should have extensive experience in providing monthly financial analysis that highlights key drivers and dependencies impacting results and the overall health of the organization.

Successful candidates should have about 5+ years' experience in financial analytics. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and enjoy handling complexity. Key Responsibilities -


  • Govern the processes for submitting annual multi-year budgets and forecasts and report total financial performance against key target metrics on a monthly basis
  • Prepare, consolidate, review and analyze a number of key financial activities including, but not limited to: budget, BD3, Capital Stress Testing "CCAR" and mid-year forecast, financial updates for the Board, Operating Committee and Regulators, quarterly earnings, spot & average balance sheet, Net Interest Income (NII) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) analytics and analyzing business performance drivers
  • Execute the above processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables / calendars
  • Analyze line of business (LOB) business models, earnings sensitivities, and strategic initiatives to enable better understanding of individual LOB financial results
  • Lead additional one-off and repeatable analyses as required by senior management
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the LOBs and corporate functions areas (e.g. External Reporting, Investor Relations, CFA)
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Organize and maintain documentation centrally for CCB so it is easily accessible for future references and regulators
  • Support ad hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Professional experience in handling large amount of data, analyzing P&L and balance sheet drivers
  • Previous experience in a finance / planning role in consumer banking or financial services
  • Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis and presentation of Financials
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization including senior management, communicates effective in written form ( Emails, PitchPro Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including good judgment and decision making capabilities
  • Hyperion Essbase, Alteryx, Xceptor, and Tableau experience preferred
