D'Amico Catering is currently looking to hire a Catering Operations / Banquet Manager to join their team in Minneapolis. This operations manager oversees and directs all aspects of banquet service according to the D'Amico standards. This includes supervising the service staff and bartenders, maintaining the facility, and ensuring financial goals are met. We are seeking those who strive for excellence in all that they do. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills; our standard is impeccable service. You must be hard working, willing to be gracious under pressure, and know how to be a team player. Position Description:

  • Full time position (hourly and salaried positions available)
  • Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling of events
  • Perform onsite management of events and act as primary contact for client
  • Attend Event Production Meetings
  • Build a positive and engaging relationship with venue ownership
  • Complete pre and post walk-throughs of event spaces
  • Accountable for reviewing captains reports, time keeping records, and weekly forecasts
  • Responsible for preparing pullsheets and ordering necessary equipment for events
  • Take part in employee annual evaluations, leadership meetings, and training opportunities
  • Committed to guest service, HR management, and teamwork
  • Perform additional duties as needed
  • Reports to General Manager
. Requirements:
  • Must have two years experience in a supervisory role
  • Strong guest service skills and a hospitality demeanor is essential
  • Catering or Restaurant experience required
  • Must have the ability to perform all positions in banquet operations (Event Supervisors, Trainers, Servers, Bartenders, Housemen)
  • Must be proficient in typing and using Excel
  • Good organizational qualities, attention to detail, and time management skills are necessary
  • Experience in bank reconciliation is required
  • Accept phone calls or texts from employees any time of day or night
  • Must have own transportation to and from events
  • Flexible work schedules are required
