BelAir Cantina is looking for a Catering & Events Manager!

BelAir Cantina is a Milwaukee/Madison staple, having served Wisconsin for over 10 years! Our Catering Department has been a part of weddings, community events, celebrations for groups that have hundreds of guests while at the same time taking care of every day needs of guests from group lunches, meetings and more! With our new expansion at The Corners of Brookfield, we now feature a private dining room and an events square that is perfect for receptions, baby showers, business meetings and more!

We are looking for someone to run our Catering & Events Department. This will entail setting up and executing Catering Orders & Events plus sourcing out and planning more events. We prefer a candidate with experience in planning large events or catering and is a dynamic people person.

The Catering & Events Manager will work from our restaurant in Brookfield under the supervision of the General Manager and will work closely with our partners at The Corners of Brookfield in planning events at the center. They will be responsible for staffing Catering and Events and will need to be able to complete administrative tasks as it pertains to staffing. The Catering & Events Manager will also be responsible for managing their teams according to Company expectations. This manager will be trained as a manager and also expected to assist in day to day operations in the restaurants when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations and all Catering & Events Operations.
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
