The Cage Cashier’s responsibility is to cash checks, issue money to the floor and promote good guest relations. Ensures the customers are receiving efficient and courteous service while playing the games.
How You'll Succeed
In this role you will:
- Provide exemplary customer service.
- Provide cashier services, including change, cashing checks, banks keys, preparing fills and jackpots, adding money to the cage inventory, preparing deposits, counting and bundling cash, wrapping change, and balancing the bank.
- Receive, secure, handle, count and reconcile, and distribute large sums of money accurately and promptly.
- Complete required casino forms and follow policies and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all uniforms properly.
- All employees maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety procedures, including use of required safety equipment, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of the unsafe conditions.
- All employees follow security policies and procedures and report all violations. Perform duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
- Follow all company and department policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience and knowledge that includes:
- High School education or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience with cash handling.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to work at both the Black Hawk and Central City locations.
- Flexible scheduling including but not limited to weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Knowledge of casino operations, and gaming rules and regulations.
- Accuracy and attention to detail necessary for completion of regulatory forms.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Limited Gaming License.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to handle guest service and team member-related issues with composure and professionalism.
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.
Pay $12.32hr-$15.00hr DOE +tips
